Create hanging wind chimes impressed with beautiful designs from Indian print blocks and natural elements. Make a treasure container with impressed or sculpted designs and whimsical embellishments. Sculpt a mask of your favorite animal imaginary or real; paint and embellish when dry. Each project develops unique clay techniques through rolling, pinching, cutting, impressing and joining clay. Additional material fee of $10 to be paid to the instructor on the first day of class.Register
This introductory class will help participants gain coordination, flexibility, and musicality through adventures in dark forests, tall castles, deep sea's and high blue skies! Exciting activities and vivid imagery are used to teach the basic classical positions of the body as well as encourage creativity in movement. This class is set to classical covers of todays popular hits, helping students connect more deeply to the music. An informal performance will take place on the last day. Coordination, balance, strength, and musicality will all be taught through basic hip hop grooves, inverted balances (stalls), partner work, and free-styling activities.
